Dancing in the Streets

I heard that on the news that the recession ended.  I'm still waiting for the dancing in the streets to begin.

Did you see on the news this morning that the recession ended way back in June 2009? I'm sure all of those people who lost their houses, cars and TV's were happy to hear…oh wait, they may not have heard it yet.

It seriously took 15 months to calculate the end of the recession? Based on the speed of our Government the world will end 15 months before they finally notify us about it.

The way they calculate it is relative to the dip though. The end of the "recession" does not equate to recovery. Basically it just means the dipping stopped. Due to the lack of and/or delay of "recovery" that's why they're talking about a "double-dip" recession in our future. Yay!

Of course, telling the people way back then that the recession had ended would've gotten in the way of the "agenda" and stimulus programs they were trying to push through congress. Stuff like "cash for clunkers" and even healthcare reform may not have had broad mass appeal if people knew the recession ended and there was little need for them.

Mahmoud “Shecky” Ahmadinejad Performs Standup Routine

Following his raucous standup routine on Al-Jazeera's hit TV reality show "Middle East has Talent" Iranian President Mahmoud "Shecky" Ahmadinejad sat down with WJM reporter Mary Richards for a brief interview. Still giddy from his standup debut he joked "Shalom evil Zionist propaganda pusher".

In his well-rehearsed deadpan routine, reminiscent of American comedian Steven Wright, he claims Iranian women are the most free in the world, there are no Homosexuals in Iran and the Easter Bunny was invented by evil Jewish candy confectioners.

When asked what he does like about America he mentioned "…those happy self-esteem parades you have look like a lot of fun". When reporter Mary Richards pointed out that those are called "Gay Pride" parades he replied "whatever you Americans call it. It looks like fun. Rainbows make me happy and I look good in pink".

Following his trips to Syria, Algeria and New York to attend a high profile U.N. meeting aimed at reviving global disarmament talks he'll be back on the road with a one-man show at the Tehran Comedy Underground and an appearance on Al-Jazeera's popular game show "Are You Smarter than a Zionist Capitalist Pig?"

Obama adopting another failed Bush policy

I like Obama's newest adaptation of a failed Bush policy. Let's leave taxes alone for those of us making less than $250,000 and increase taxes on those making over $250,000. No, seriously, I really do like this plan.

By raising taxes on the rich we'll be bringing in an extra $700B. That'll come in handy since the CBO projects the 2011 shortfall to be $1.066 TRILLION. What? What was that? Oh, the $700B is over 10 years. So we're really only bringing in $70B a year. Hmmm, that's not going to balance the budget either. Oh well, at least it's a start. And, when Obama finds his missing scalpel he'll dig into that budget and cut spending soon I'm sure…just like he promised.

Appeasement didn't work with the Nazi's and won't work with the militant muslim's either. Our first amendment must take precedent. Agree with their actions or not they have every right to burn the bloody Quaran. The Government, at the same time, cannot ask Americans to be tolerant of an islamic center near ground zero and also oppress Americans right to freedom of speech and expression.

Oh, so the muslims around the world will be angry with us. Aren't many of them already? Besides, I don't think burning a book puts our soldiers in danger. It was pretty much hijacking planes, flying them into buildings and killing 3,000 people that did that. Have we forgotten that part already? So, yes, I'm being childish and saying "they started it".

I think burning the Quaran is silly but they have every right to do it. Heck, Americans have burned Harry Potter and Dr. Seuss books too. It's almost an honor to have wacky American groups burn your book. If the afghan rebels get riled up they'll more likely surface and step into our soldiers' line of fire than hurt anyone.

By asking this wacky church to not burn a book our Government is backhandedly saying that we're better than muslims by implying that muslims are going to kill people over burning a book while Americans are only burning a book. The wacky Florida church isn't killing anyone. It's not like they're beheading reporters on live television or anything like that.

Mexico Laws Tougher Than Ours

Here's an even better idea: Instead of the Arizona law we copy the Mexico laws. There's are even stricter than the one Arizona just passed. Mexico's laws make Arizona look like a bunch of pansy's.

PM Brown and the Potential Bigot

They keep mentioning that Englands PM Gordon Brown had a conversation with this lady and his recorded conversation where he called her a “bigot” but they don’t share with us what SHE said in the conversation with him that made him think she’s a “bigot” in the first place. Maybe she is one. Maybe we’d all think so too. How about let us decide and give us the WHOLE story and not just the one that makes Brown look bad. Would it have been better if he said “hell yeah, I agree with her. We need to do something about all these f*ing immigrants. Kick all the Dutch out. And those Frenchies too”. Would that have been better?

Don’t short-change us. Show us both sides of the coin.

Michelle Obama Disbarred?

Did you know that Michelle Obama only practiced law for less than 5 years? She passed the bar in 1989 (2nd attempt) and stopped practicing in 1993. Did you also know that her inactive status as a lawyer was court ordered?

I got one of those emails that make the rounds with truths, half-truths, and falsehoods. I saw the picture they posted on a blog but it could’ve been altered. Thus, I went to the ARDC (Attorney Registration and Discipline Commission of Illinois) website myself and looked it up. Sure enough; it’s true. Her inactivity was court ordered. It doesn’t explain why but it does clearly state “…court ordered inactive status”. I wonder what she did for that to happen?

On the flip side; Barack’s record clearly states that he voluntarily retired from practicing law. Thus, she clearly didn’t voluntarily retire.
